The Doldrums.... So as usual, this graphghan (graph and afghan... what do you think of my portmanteau) is read left to right. January 1, there were very few vaccines, so white yarn. The dark center is the Feb March April time frame. Then we fall into the Summer Doldrums... LOOK at all that yellow and white and yellow and white and yellow and whate. That would be June and July. Too Few Vaccines people!! I know there are many better reasons to get vaccinated, but in addition to all those other very important reasons, I have one more unimportant reason... I want to have more colors!!!! Yellow and white are toooo boring. And the vaccines work, people... On July 31st, I tested positive for COVID. A breakthrough case, I was fully vaccinated as of the end of February. You can see the red thread that I wove into the blanket right near the current end of the blanket (where the red arrow points). But you know what is the BEST part of it, I unknowingly exposed 10 other people while I was symptomatic who were all vaccinated. Well... that part is not good.... but not a single one of them contracted covid. I am behind on my crocheting because I ran out of yellow (see above paragraph), and couldn't go to the yarn store while in quarantine, so I only just got my yellow yarn about two days ago. Crocheting furiously to catch up. But you will not see any more red thread up through today because.... VACCINES WORK!
